Hello,

Effective from today, I have stepped down from co-chairing the SVG Working
Group. I currently don’t have very much time to dedicate towards SVG work, and
my day job does not involve SVG so much. I think therefore that the group would
be better served with someone with more time and a greater stake in SVG’s
progress. Plus, after almost seven years in the role, it is time for a change!

I’m so pleased to announce that Nikos Andronikos is stepping up to the plate!
I’m very confident that Nikos shows the diligence and responsibility required
of the role and that he will do an outstanding job.

I’d like to thank Erik Dahlström for co-chairing with me all of these years.
It would have been difficult without being able to share the work between us.
Erik will continue co-chairing with Nikos. I’d also like to thank Doug
Schepers and Chris Lilley for helping me navigate W3C process and
administrivia, without which the group certainly wouldn’t run as smoothly. And
thanks, of course, to all the other members of the group, for making our
teleconferences and face-to-face meetings enjoyable.

I will do my best to remain active in the group at least until the Sydney F2F,
which I will still be attending.

Cheers,

Cameron
