Conditions: Classic only on main trails, Fair, incomplete coverage in tracks, not icy. (There is a 3K skating area on the paved trails at the Cox Hollow Campground.)
A thin track was set Thursday, Feb 13th at Governor Dodge State Park, but the snow was not consistently deep enough to drag with the new Tidd Tech tenderizer first with the heavy footprint non-grooming-specific snow machine the park has. As a result there are places where the track setter bit down to gravel. Unfortunately they are not easy to see in advance and avoid. ROCK (or 2nd) SKIS RECOMMENDED! Best bet for good skis are the Mill Creek Trail and Lakeview Trail on the south side of the dam at the Cox Hollow Trailhead, but consider walking down past the wooden bridge as there is wood showing on the bridge.
