Hibernatedoclet only sees class level tags in the last comment before class

I had the following code in User.java:
/**
* @hibernate.class table="users" lazy="false"
*/
/* TODO add business logic */
public class User {
...
}
Hibernatedoclet didn't generate any mapping file from the class. When I moved
"@hibernate.class" to the last comment before "public class User",
hibernatedoclet generated the mapping file.
I tried different combinations where there is some other comment in between the
"@hibernate.class" directive and the class declaration, and hibernatedoclet
didn't produce mapping files for them. Only when the last comment was of the
type "/** ... @hibernate.class ... */", did hibernatedoclet generate the
mapping file.
