It is complete rewrite with new architecture, 
with several improvements ( for example tags
are able to validate their placement and required
parameters and produce mostly meaningfull error
messages ) 

There is also better templating.   

Preferred usage mode is maven-2 , but ant 
and m1 are also supported. 

hibernate is most used module and thus prett yup to
date to current mappings
