What version is your
xc/programs/Xserver/hw/xfree86/drivers/nv/nv_setup.c ?

1.27 is the newest version and has BigEndian fixes in it.

I recommend that you use offb instead of rivafb.  And you
shouldn't need the 'novideo' option.
