           Summary: Display disturbances when accellerated
           Product: Drivers
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: PC
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Trident
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'm running XFree 4.3.0 (Gentoo compiled) on a BookPC
(http://www.lex.com.tw/index1.htm), which has a CyberBlade 1i video chip.

When I use the trident driver, no matter what video mode/bit depth I use, I get
disturbances when the image changes, for example when I move the mouse. The
disturbances look as if the signal to the monitor is distorted, with parts of
scan lines being moved to the left or right for a fraction of a second. The best
way to test this is on a "raw" X, where the speckled pattern seems to boost the
effect.

The weird thing is that this doesn't happen when I turn off accelleration, or
use the vesa driver (which may be the same thing, although the vesa driver seems
to pick better modes).

Any ideas?
