I recently purchased an ATi 9800XT and I am having
trouble starting X with the new driver from ATi.

I am running Mandrake Linux 9.1 and XFree86 4.3.0. I
downloaded the fglrx-glc22-4.3.0-3.6.0.i386 driver
from ATi and followed all of the steps for
installation, including using the fglrxconfig and
running make.sh and make_install.sh. When I run startx
I get the background for about 3 seconds then get
dropped back to the command line with the message. . .

I have seen a lot of information about this problem
but no useful solution. I am a complete newb and I
fear that I'm missing something obvious. I'd
appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Below are my log and config files.
