You seem to have chosen to use the generic VGA driver. You then try to run 16 bit colour mode. This does not fit within the memory of a generic VGA card (256 kB). It seems there are two options to solving your problem: 1. Use the correct driver for your video chipset. 2. If the generic VGA driver is indeed all your chipset can handle: use 8 bit colour mode, or buy a better graphics card.
