The xrandr core code in the xserver parses the modes and puts the EDID into the output property. xrandr --props works fine here and shows the EDID blocks for all attached displays. Note some laptops do not have an EDID for the internal panel although most do; in those cases the vbios just provides native mode timing for the panel.
