Thanks. I just have missed that one while updating. The startup log looks like this now: (EE) Error compiling keymap (server-0) (EE) XKB: Couldn't compile keymap XKB: Failed to compile keymap Keyboard initialization failed. This could be a missing or incorrect setup of xkeyboard-config. Fatal server error: Failed to activate core devices. I'm lucky cause this recent patch seems to replace a core dump by the nice error message. http://archive.netbsd.se/?ml=xorg&a=2009-02&t=9753387 Any suggestions where to start to find the cause? Can a messy xorg.conf cause this message?
