Hi, I have followed the instructions in http://www.x.org/wiki/radeonBuildHowTo to build the latest ATI driver and Mesa. I succeeded in build and install everything. However, with
glxinfo | grep OpenGL I still get OpenGL renderer string: Software Rasterizer so 3d hardware acceleration is disabled. Is this a problem of my video card Radeon HD 5470? I thought that some 3d support was already enabled with the open source driver (see http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=amd_evergreen_3d&num=1).
