[Xpert]Nvidia Drivers

Nvidia have new drivers for GForce? I have downloaded nvidia updates (I think) Followed the installation and moded the config file. Some success as the nvidia logo appears just before xserver starts, however I still cant get the full range of displays nor can I manually install the correct devices.   I have a Gateway VX900 (1600 x 1200 75Hx at 32 bit) capable GForce 3 from creative labs   I can only achieve 1024 x 768 15 bit   I note the config file modifies my modifications or appears to. I have added two line to the config file   1: Change driver from nv to nvidia 2: Added Load "glx"   Once I run the any video config program these lines are replaced with the original.   Please can some one tell me which config program works? Which files are which? Why wont the config program identify my video card and monitor... They use too!     Using Mandrake 8.1 Ąthlon 1.4 512 MB   Mike
