Nat,

When doing this, it would be best to start with a clean install in the first
place.  So if you have an external SCSI drive, do the patched install there
and try it out.  If you don't have a second drive (or a single drive with
multiple partitions), rename the current System Folder and do a clean
install installation for Mac OS 9.2.  This way, you'll still have the
original 9.1 System Folder available in case 9.2 does not work well.

Having said that, I don't have any direct experience with Power Mac 6300's.
I do know that it does not work with 8100's.  I don't think 7100's and
6100's would have much luck either.
