Note that if this is just removing them from the *redistributed*
samples.zip file I am not concerned.
But I need clarification that when I do 'make demos' and 'make all' I
still end up with these applets
in the resulting tree and jdk images ..

8u40 changes were already integrated in the team forest. They were
reviewed by the team members at time of integration. JDK 9 changes
are ready for integration as well.
