Greetings from CHICAGO.

Some new things I picked up yesterday at Supreme.

G-man - beautiful.
3 track 12" on i220. Nice upfront minimal techno with a bit of a rough
feel that I can't wait to milk in the mix. The a-side is a nice funky tech
house number maybe in a Dave Angel style but with a definite gravity that I've
been missing in his work of late.

Martin Solveig - heart of africa/afro deep
4 track (originals with versions) on new label Mixture stereophonic from
France. Deep jazzy laid back house with total soul. Live speech, alto sax,
and "Zarb percusssion" whatever that is. All players in this project are
totally new to me, but I think that this is a release that will never grow
old for me. I haven't got a chance to get into either of these since I left
the shop, as I'm away from home, but I'm pretty sure that this one's got the
juice. Highly recommended especially if you got into Metro Area's Amazing
"atmopherique" on Environ. Up with live instrumentation in my house music.

Just a few things I thought would be well worth the time if seen in
the shops.

    Peace and hair grease,

    J.
