In addition to the great labels Tom just recommended (KDJ, Sound Signatures, Moods & Grooves) definitely check out the Dan Bell records on Elevate (and "Baby Steps" is a Theo Parrish ep on Elevate too). Excellent funky Detroit house that mixes great with the other stuff mentioned, not to be missed. Also in a similar vein is the classic sounding "Metro-Area" Ep on Environ records, and while not geographically from Detroit, the Soul Center 2x12" by Thomas Brinkmann will get you where you want to be too. peace, Matt MacQueen
