To all that responded to my post (both in public and private):
Thank you for your VERY thorough postings on where to begin
my journey into the music. So far, I have purchased a few of the
recommended releases and have found myself enjoying them all.
My hat goes off to all of you.
It seems as if there is an overwhelming vote for Kenny Dixon/Moodymann
and Theo Parrish releases. Does anyone have a discography or any
extensive information on these two? I would especially like to see either of
them DJ in Detroit. Do they DJ often?
Also, is anyone going to the Velvet Lounge in Pontiac tonight? If so, I
would like to match some faces with names. I will be the one in the sweater
vest, most likely at the bar. Please do not hesitate to come up and
introduce yourselves.
