I agree with Josh. I don't think the future of Detroit Techno, much less anything for that matter, rests in the hands of one person. Rich is not a techno messiah, and no one is the techno God.Everyone is an artist and contributes something different and unique to the overall collective, the energy that results in a future even taking place.
The future will be a collective. What keeps this wondrous machine going is the people who honestly believe and have the selfless enthusiasm. Whether it be the kid in the burbs banging the bass in his bedroom that sits above the 3 car garage or the one taping radio shows on the radio his family put on lay-away for 6months. power to both. the each contribute. Never knock or worship someone for being privileged and never punish or praise those being from poverty.Everyone's stories are unique and money doesn't always make a difference in personality or intent.
