errr. i'm not playing ghetto kids against suburb kids. i'm saying the
environment of detroit is a huge influence on the movement. and thats what
i'm using the word ghetto for. it seems a lot of people don't understand
what i'm getting at. would it make more sense if i talked about how the 1812
revolution influenced tchaikovsky? that knowing something about the
revolution is essential to understanding the music because it intentionally
represents something.

"The audience for raves are roughly the same kids who would go to a
Lollapalooza or see a Smashing Pumpkins show. But when these kids see a real
DJ at work, spinning hard techno ghetto style, they'll know what time it
is." - Alan Oldham aka t1000. (is he still on this list?)
