He played housier in Sydney at Home on the same tour - one of my fave gigs ever, even though I had a migraine! I hear a 'housier' shift in his music myself, though it is still minimal. Maybe we are moving into a new era of techno - the music is 'deeper' and more melodic again. I wish Mills would do more club dates over 'raves'. The crowds are more sophisticated.
If you like Mills, you'll like Oliver Ho's new album - the best minimal techno Mills didn't make. Excellent cerebral stuff. I saw Pacou last night here in Melbourne. The turn-out was small (I think a lot of people are too tired to party Friday nights - they want housier sounds instead of techno maybe) yet appreciative but I didn't really get into it (I was not in the mood since everyone had forgotten my birthday and I had expensive iMac computer repairs to worry about after a mega crash on an important deadline!!).
