Yes- there are a few notable "techno-ish" producers who perform live P.A.s
from Detroit that I can note:
Reclose- Planet E, very smooth and groovy
Pakman- Minimal experimental funky techno, and my partner in 4th
dimension
Detronik-Micho performs excellent analog experimental techno,
modified 606s etc, 313er,
Ghost 200- Excellent techno based around vintage sound toys
There are Detroit based producers performing live at events in town almost
every week, often in the underground party circuit. Some are more
trance(like mine) or house influenced, or use computers for their live gear.
Typically clubs will not feature live acts unless they are international
headliners.
