I just started spinning about 6months ago.
I was playing only techno for so long and it seemed that
most of the tracks didn't matter if they were phrased right
therefore I didn't develop much of a phrasing ability.
I recommend either making tracks yourself(I have for 5yrs)
or playin semi-tech/housey records to develop the phrasing.
After while you'll develop a broader sense of timing which in
turn will lead to much faster beatmaching.
You won't focus on when the first beat of 4beats match, you'll
focus when the first beat of 16/32/64 etc.
Granted not every track HAS a distinguished change to signify
the 16/32/64, thats when it helps to know your records.
I found that once you gain a better confidence of exactly HOW
and WHERE your mix is goin, you'll want another table.
ESPECIALLY if you, like I, have noattentionspanwhatsoever.
The 3rd is the most amazing addition you could possibly get.
