This stuff is utter garbage and I'd call it that if it was on any label. It's pure dj/club throwaway stuff -- considered in that realm, I guess it could be considered pretty good quality club throwaway stuff, so I guess your point stands in that regard...but who cares. I want good music.
Considering the style of this release I think Beatport first was probably a fine business move. I think that's the market for this, and if it'd come on vinyl first it wouldn't gather much steam in that format considering the style. He's putting it out on vinyl too in a few weeks anyway, although obviously I'm not after it, but I don't get the fuss. It's not like he's abandoned vinyl at all...or like there's even much delay between the formats...Is there rancor because it gives digital dj's the chance to play it first, by a few weeks? I have full confidence there will be better stuff to come.
