It's also not clear what Black Tokyo Project is - and to be honest there is something about the name which to me, seems dumb.
What is it? Music? Art? Blacks In Tokyo? Why 'Black' anyway? Black people you mean? That would be faintly patronizing in my view, if it was referring or alluding to that some sort of cultural jam. That might not be intentionally offensive, but it's still referenced by skin colour. How very 70s! Maybe 'Black' as an aesthetic term? Dumb, dumb dumb. If I was Aux 88 I'd be hesitant in associating with this project as it could cast them in as dubious a light as the project itself - which would be a shame as the group are justifiably well respected for their music. Check this out: http://www.blacktokyo.com/?p=2923 It's nothing to do with the Aux 88-linked project, I think, but it's in the same orbit. Perhaps there would be a good reason for Aux 88 being involved in such a project if it had worthwhile aims. But it would need to be well-thought through and I would suggest it ought to be at the behest of Aux 88, or people like Aux 88 in Japan.
