Don't get us wrong...
Oakenfold is truly a good DJ at what he does, but understand that Trance is
"Eurocized" and considerably watered down Techno which 313 birthed so
passionately and overly-clever, mainly British A&R folks have been banking
considerably off of for nearly a decade.
It is a classic case of Imitators getting the glory and getting paid for
cheesing up what historically Black American musical Innovators have
produced and done okay financially with.
Oakey's people have "hyped" him to a level that commands big revenues, but
I'll take ANY 313 artist/deejay over him any day of the week, trance just
ain't got enough soul to satisfy most 313ers. Ain't no booty in that
trance.......
Longevity is the key to this music marketing game and the most hyped artists
usually come crashing down the hardest.

I understand that no one on this list likes Trance. but I was just trying
to get some info. Besides I love all things Electronic whether it's trance
or Jungle so don't jump all over someone just because they asked about
something you happen to hate. I happen to love being on this list but not
when people are rude to someone who asks about something they hate or are
not as informed about music as some other people may be.
