And if you haven't checked out My Bloody Valentine, it is more ahead of it's
time than most (if not ALL) techno IMHO and i don't think anyone will ever
match it.



If you mean by "match it" that no one will ever be able to emulate the classic MBV sound - well, what would be the point? Any attempt to emulate a wholly unique work will just look/sound silly in the long run. Being influenced is a completely different matter, though.

Please reply if you think anything else (especially techno) compares to MBV


What's the criteria? "Timelessness"? Sonic adventurousness?
It could be many : Derrick May's classic work , Autechre, Brian Wilson's work up to "Smiley Smile", Sun Ra, Ar Kane's "69" ? Hell,
even "Kid A" comes close at times...
