Ok, when I looked at that site, a couple things come to mind: 1. "Vote in the first ever Techno-category brought to you by Ford Focus." In regards to this, I think the mainstream made a step in the right direction for they are now acknowledging this genre as a valid genre. 2. As for the names you have to choose from, well, you must understand that those names have at one time, made it to the charts and are only what the big record executives know of. I also think it comes back to the "better" techno artist's reluctance to work with major record companies for fear that their music will lose its quality marketing-wise and/or from the paranoia of the executives, all the way signing wannabes which will run techno's good name down to the ground. Bottomline is folks...you can't depend on a car company to do the job of the music industry. This site doesn't surprise me as much as it disappoints me to the point of "who cares??". In any case, who the hell needs the American Music Awards when you have MusikUndMaschine which is FAR from making a mockery of this music. G l y p h.
