hello, I guess I pissed a bunch of people off with the statement below, whatever. Call me a wanker, but nobody has said a thing that is remotely worth hearing on this subject yet. 313 philosophy discussions are a joke, it is like talking about jeff mills. You love him, you hate him, or you don't care, you fall in to one of these catagories and you do a variation of one of those three opinions.
You think commericalism is good, you think it's bad, or you don't care. Whatever opinion you hold, your stance has been repeated over and over and over and over, you cannot say anything new in this thread. The funny thing is how meaningless it is to talk about this stuff. There is life to be had, and so many more things worth talking about. repeating the same 313 standard stances is useless, it does not change anything. It just fills our mailboxes with crap that is remotely related to the records and makes a few of us feel self-important with a public demonstration of the knowledge we have gathered over the years. (and this is why I am a wanker too :) I hope I do not come off as an utterly bitter tired old man, because I do not feel like that at all. I am just openly stating what everybody who has been on 313 more than six months thinks. I really dig this list, it is just that it seems I have to wade though a bunch of crap for the one good post about music that shows up every three days. As for music, good stuff(313 and not) that has been getting play lately: Norken: Soulstatic remixes on Beau Monde(dude, the Maurice Fulton mix is off the chain) Norken: Soulstatic Bureau DEC: Black Buildings John Tejada: Matrix of Us Jeff Mills: Every Dog Has its Day v.2 Peel Seamus: Shifting Gears Chicks On Speed : COS will save us all ESP: Summer LP Slowdive: Pygmalion Arovane: Atol Scrap Take care, Mike > >ps philosophical techno discussions are for wankers, I used to be one > of > >those wankers until I discovered that talking about dance music is > one > >of the most profoundly unimportant things you can possibly do. > > oops mt... you turned back into a wanker. > martin > > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- > Get more from the Web.
