Exactly, i have to agree.  I mean, cool looking web pages are, well, cool
looking, and its what all the companies want right now.  If you want cool
looking web sites, there are lots of places to go for that.  However, I'm
of the mindset of disabling flash, shock, java, ect in my browser, since I
dont use the web for eye candy, i use it for information.  
The most important things about a website, in order, are,
1.Interface (usability, ease of navigation, including time to download 
               each page)
2.Content
