I think I've posted about this before, so sorry if I'm repeating myself. Part of my plans for the New Year include (hopefully) a trip to the UK and Barcelona, for June (planned around Sonar).I plan to be abroad June 5-22nd. Though I know this is far off, I'm making a financial map of sorts for the New Year. I will be working in both the UK and Barcelona, so sites will mainly include what I can squeeze in and things done on the weekend.
What I'm really looking to learn is tricks of travel. I've been to UK/Europe before, but its been with family. If there are any tricks of the trade-such as a low time for airfares from US (i can leave from Detroit or New York) to the UK (Heathrow) and then cheap ways to get to London to Barcelona; and even UK to Scotland- please tell me! The hard part is, is I don't trust Priceline.com to buy airline tickets, just because of the whole cancel/delay flight thing and getting rerouted and I'm paranoid about more than one layover because airlines have lost my luggage more than I care to remember-just traveling in the U.S. So PLEASE,any tips are appreciated.
