THE WIZARD-- JEFF MILLS

Thursday, MARCH 1, 2001

State Theatre
2115 Woodward Ave.
D E T R O I T

As one of Detroit Techno's most prolific producer's and most renowned global
DJs, Jeff Mills has become an icon within the dance music world. Spinning a
set as the Wizard, his legendary radio personality first heard on WDRQ and
then WJLB through the 80's and early 90's, Mills will be taking fans through
a furious odyssey of sound ranging from electro/bass through hip hop to
techno and
beyond....

Tickets: $30 Ticketmaster-248-645-6666

This is an event that could ONLY happen here. This is a one time
opportunity to see a side of a Detroit legend only spoken about in nostalgic
terms.

I wish I could be there to see it, unfortunately I will be on tour in Europe
then. Good luck with the party !

Re: the ongoing debate about Jeff's mixing skills, he is one of the most
innovative electronic music talents of the 20th Century. Until you all invent
an entire sub-genre of techno music (lock-grooved, loop techno) and a host of
imitators, you need to keep your criticisms to yourselves.
