You have a much different sense of respect than I do. Alan has had nothing to do with the crap quality of this list. Don't forget that Alan left this list when it started to attain its taste of spam that it has right now instead of trying to change the subjects, or trying to enforce some netiquette. Just because someone puts out a lot of records and has a long history as a figure in the culture doesn't mean they say and do everything right. Having someone "respecting their nuts" doesn't really help get things on the right track, either.
