I tend to go for the simpler, colder and sometimes harder material, concentrating mainly on artists and labels of British origin - with some US and Middle-European things thrown in for good measure. My absolute favourites are the three releases on Scopex (Simulant's ``Simm City'' and ``Out Of Ether'' and Pollon's ``Electratech''), all SCSI releases (and Carl Finlow's material in general as Il-Ek-Tro, Voice Stealer etc.), Phoenecia (``Randa Roomet'' on Warp, several releases on Schematic like ``Odd Jobs''), N)E(M's 12"s and LP and other releases on Elektrolux, Surface Effect (label), Gassoline (Wee DJ's label), Endorphin's ``Dedication'' on Eat This, NSC (label)... oh, and of course Speedy J's ``IEEE Mitten Menu'' and a release with only the catalog code CLAR001. Smashing. A few of the more recent releases that have had me clinging onto my chair have been Mass Transit's first release with tracks by Voice Stealer, Decal, Airlocktronics and Silicon, ``Assorted Pieces'' on Suction (SUCTION007) and Da Halz's ``Konform EP'' on Science City (SCI018).
