I can't remember either the name of the artist nor the title of the
record, but a few weeks back there was a release by supposedly "a
(former?) member of Drexciya" (for "Who is/are Drexciya" see 313 FAQ). In
my opinion that record had more similar kind of touch as in the older
Drexciya records than in Neptune's Lair. The kind of raw funk which
appears especially in Molecular Enhancement EP and in tracks like Sea
Snake, Black Sea and Rubick's Cube.
Also, Neptune's Lair, though it was good, sounded a bit too sterile and
cold to my taste. But perhaps it's the mastering technique to be blamed.
