Sorry, no British number one smashes for Associates -- they barely even hit
the Top Ten (once with Party Fears Two from early '82).  Two others in the
Top 40: Club Country (mid-'82) and Love Hangover/18 Carat Love Affair (late
'82).

Some of the lyrics would help! If it was '82, it was probably "Party Fears
Two" or "Club Country". If it was a bit later (say 1- 2 years) it might
have been "Waiting for the Love Boat" "Those First Impressions" or
"Perhaps". If it was earlier it could have been "White Car In Germany",
"Kitchen Person", "Q-Quarters"...and that's not taking anything into
account from "The Affectionate Punch" (their 1st lp).
