i always recall motor having silver shirted people. in fact, motor started out mainstream.
the mythical idea that motor 'sold-out' is a joke. motor was always a mainstream portal into electronic music. i remember one night (Nov 1999) when Black Nation records party did over 1000 ppl. THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A TIME IN DETROIT HISTORY WHEN JAY DENHAM COULD DRAW 1000 PPL!!! it was because Motor was the 'place' to go. and i suspect that was also the time when many of you were going. its not a good thing or a bad thing. but don't delude the past into something that it wasn't.
