I think what's important is that we are seeing greater variety of both live acts and DJs in London (perhaps in certain other parts of the UK as well) - plus certain promoters and parties are merging house & techno acts back together with some success - something which has been missing for a considerable period of time. You've only to go to something like Open to Torture to see the "soulless" side of the scene.
