I went to the Plasa light/sound show in london the other week and finally got a chance to roadtest F/S on the uk distributor of stanton's stand :]
I was thoroughly impressed and I would say it is very difficult to fault - I gave it some solid scratching + crabbing and it held up fine as well as skipping the needle about, spinbacks etc etc. The software is pretty good too - you can see a waveform of the tune and its not too difficult to skip to a break etc. The 'record box' functionality is quite nice - they had house/hip-hop/breaks/etc boxes set up on F1-F9 keys. After I'd finished dribbling all over it I had a chat to some guys on the stand...from what they were saying it sounds like u need a Linux partition on your laptop/pc but they give you a distribution in the box [not sure why they couldnt have F/S on a bootable linux CD as that would be way less hassle]. I think UK retail is between 450-500GBP. They were running it off a compaq presario notebook [not sure what spec] but the guy said anything around the 500mhz mark should do the trick.
