You must have tiny ears... The whole of the exposed part of my ear doesn't fit 
within the confines of the Sony 700 without being crushed against my head, 
resulting in annoying ear pain after an hour or two.  Why they make them round 
is a mystery to me when people's ears are more or less oval in shape.  I again

My sony's are silver and are 700's [I think] they have a closed-cup design
and do fit over your ears. Maybe there are a variety of sony silver cans ?
