What she did was reveal a conflict that needs to be resolved. If the entire article was just kissing May's asss, talking about how he's gonna save the festival, it wouldn't have any impact. If the point was to rally support (which I believe it was considering that the Metro Times is a sponsor) then you have to present the obstacles that this years festival is facing.
