ok, i'd say two approached, yeah the ableton/acid approach is more like sequencing chuncks of sound (we need a midi controller with a crossfader - anyone make these??)....abletons interface means you can do this live with the chunks being matched to the tempo o the fly (hence name)... i still maintain that this can be done with two technics a loop sampler and an effects unit (delay is pretty useful) > oh, and if this is the 3rd wave, who was 1st and 2nd.......? ; ) 1st is selection over mixing, 2nd is what we've known since people beatmatched a who;le set and third is this! :) robin...
