I had thought that pretty much anyone in the electronic music scene
understood that the issue is not that certain types of tool (be it 909,
1200 or Final Scratch) "make you creative", it's the extent of your
creativity that makes you creative - regardless of the tools you use.

Hence the bankruptcy of that old school "if it ain't played live on a
real instrument, it ain't real music" argument. What you're saying is
essentially the same thing, isn't it?
