I don't think you can blame punters alone for this, the whole media around
music has changed, I can still name journalist from the time when I was
first starting to buy music, some of which where as big as any group - Nick
Kent anyone...Where are the heroes for the kids today in this sea of pop pap
and bland boll*cks - Your parents are more likely to ask if they can borrow
a CD these days rather than bang on the wall and tell you to turn it down.
The 80's must have been the last time they had people to look up to and when
someone had something to say.

Plus there isn't really any youth movements, a few kids in Slipknot shirts
doesn't count in my book :)

They way they consume music is every different, my daughters bedroom doesn't
have a original cd in it, out of 200+...

Look what happens to people Like So Solid and Dizzee Rascal, consumed way
before they are ready and packed off a year later...do you want fries with
that...
