I would second that...I lived in Montreal for 5 years and it was fantastic. The only thing is that sometimes the politics can be a bit hard to deal with - language wars, and the winters are damn cold. And if you don't speak french it can be hard to get work. But, on the positive side, its like living in a wicked European city only you are in North America. The people are hip, the music scene is supportive, tight and prolific, and housing is cheap. Plus, you can eat the worlds best bagels and smoked meat until you are ready to burst - every day, all day!
