>are you saying anyone who uses real sounds in music that is
electronic-jazz
>minded is ripping off UR? LOL

yeah thats exactly what im saying, you f*cking crackhead. can you
not read or are you just trolling for flames?

>the machines being used to make techno were originally made to
reproduce
>real sounds without having to have 10 people there to play each
instrument.

yeah and they didnt actually sound like any instrument. as much as
i try, my 101 just doesnt sound like a guitar.

>a 909 has a bass drum, hi hats, snare, etc. just like a real
drum kit.
>technology limited their ability to pull off an accurate
representation and
>as these machines gave way to sampling devices, their prices fell
as did
>their demand. at this point, people started picking them up for
making all
>kinds of electronic music (and others no doubt), and things kind
of built on
>that. at some point sounding "wrong" got cool and now the synth
market is
>in the process of doing a 180 to catch up.

wow, youre really on top of things. i of course summed this up in
my original post that you disagreed with where i pointed out how
popular virtual analogue synths are in dance music.

>look at the old ultramarine albums if you want some heavy mixture
of
>synthetic and real sounds in a jazzy/electronic vein. your
assertion that
>someone who uses "real" sounds in tracks will be biting from UR
is just
>silly.

i know it is, which is why you sound like an idiot for putting
words in my mouth. i pointed out that in techno theyre the only
people using OBVIOUSLY SYNTHETIC "REAL" sounds. find me 5 other
TECHNO records that are as fake sounding as the most recent UR
records have been.

>the music has existed as long as the gear has, but it seems its
just never
>been marketed in a way that has caught your attention
>
>perhaps I misunderstand you, but at the very least, your original
statement
>could stand some clarification

really i was very clear considering the fact that 4 days later
youve been the only person to take objection to it. all i said was
that it was interesting how they seem to be taking the route LEAST
used by techno artists: making "real" sounds with a synth, even
though they obviously sound fake.
