I know it seems weird but... maybe that is exactly what you have to do. Musicians have often had to do similar, for years. Information only has so much value, but a great performance can be more valuable because it can't be reproduced the same way. Music in the commodity form is just cheap to make and distribute - as is all information. I mean, even authors of books can have this problem, and find creative ways to make money beyond book sales.
