I didn't remember them at all - I only remember Propaganda. I guess I was very young but I am LOVING this compilation. There are some great moments. This stands up much better than Art Of Noise, in my humble opinion. There's a very good essay in there which actually states that at the time many felt that ACT didn't live up to Propaganda. I think there are some so-so moments on it (eg that not entirely successful Smiths cover) but I like having all the rare songs, good and bad. And the good is sooo good. The second disk with all the remixes is a treat. There's a mix - Snobbery & Decay (That's Entertainment) - which kinda 'samples' Cabaret. It's genius. It's kinda New Romantic bling-bling. ;) I'd say that ACT had a funkier feel than Propaganda with more percussion and brass and maybe less of an industrial edge. I just love Claudia's voice. Everyone talks of Depeche Mode, etc, etc, but I love finding obscure 80s things. I also see that the ABC CDs have been remastered. Lexicon Of Love... what an album!!! I wonder what would have happened had Juan, Derrick and Kevin signed to ZTT...
