Thats a little condenscending to the many people on this list who do still hold Star Wars in high regard. Sure its a pretty basic plundering of classic mythology and storytelling at heart, but what the hell, they are still fun movies and I don't remember the A team having the effect of capturing the imagination of an entire generation of children. Maybe the new movies have soured your memories, but I wanted to be Han Solo when I was a kid and quite frankly I'd rather any kid of mine look upto Han Solo as a hero/role model than the latest lame member of the latest lame boy/girl band.
