Eindhoven, anyone? -----Original Message----- From: Stewart Caig [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: dinsdag 21 september 2004 17:19 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: (313) If
Not that I'm really arsed what city takes this title, but surley London has a pretty good claim to it seeing as how its the capital of a country that was one of the first to really embrace Techno and give the Detroit labels (through Neil Rushton and others) the support and exposure they needed for the music to even get off the ground in those early days. Plus the whole warehouse/summer of love/rave/acid house/Orbital parties call it what you like scene bloomed over here first before the rest of the world caught on and those early techno tracks played a big part at some of those parties. Also fast forward to the present and London is a pretty techno friendly city, there's big name Detroit DJs spinning here almost on a weekly basis it seems these days.
