I think the best way for everyone concerned and willing to help is to pay your 
$15 fee in advance. I'm sure if we'd been a bit quicker on the draw and 
presented the organizers with a list of 313 members willing to contribute to 
the cause, kevin or derrick would be more than willing to accept it. I mean 
even if there are only 500 people on the list (and willing friends of) sending 
15 bucks each that's a $7500 statement of how dedicated we are to the event and 
detroit itself w/o presenting ideas that should be left to the organizers (such 
as security and fences). Up that to $20 and we're talking a $10000 show of 
support from the global 313 community. Though I'm sure that wouldn't make much 
of a dent in the overall costs, I think it would let all involved know how 
serious this festival is to the global techno community as a galvanizing force. 
Also, it would stop all the second guessing and put those willing to support up 
to the task, instead of talking about all the ways we'd b!
 e willing to support if the organizers would just ask. DIY. Some of us still 
believe.
